1. A warm herbal oil massage is applied to the face, neck, and shoulders to relax muscles and loosen Kapha in the sinus passages.
2. You will be placed in mild herbal steam to open the nasal channels (srotas) and soften excess mucus so that it can be released more easily.
3. The Vaidya will pour a small amount of medicated oil (Anu Taila, Shadbindu Taila, or Ghee) into each nostril.
4. Gentle cleansing follows, and you are given time to rest while the herbal oils work through the channels of the head.
